Attendance Policy: (Please read carefully)
The New York State Education Department requires that you attend all
classroom lectures and driving sessions. All students must attend 24 hours
of classes and 24 hours of driving lab. A passing grade on both the written exam and driving skills tests
is required to successfully complete the driving program.
- Failure to meet these requirements will result in course
failure and denial of the MV-285 (DMV Certificate of Completion).
- All students are allowed make-up one classroom session and one
in-car session at no additional cost.
- A fee of $45 will be charged for the second missed classroom
or the second missed driving session ($90 if you miss both) payable to
“ECC Driver Ed”.
- Only two absences are permitted (2 classroom lectures and 2
driving sessions).
- A student with three absences will be removed from the
program. No refunds will be given once the course begins. Neither work,
vacation, nor extracurricular activities are acceptable excuses for
missing a driver education lecture or driving session. Neither the
assigned lecture nor driving session can be changed once the course
begins.
- There is a replacement fee of $25.00 if the Certificate of
Completion has been lost and needs to be replaced.
Registration for Summer Session I (June 29-July 21) must be received by

Session II (July 29-August 19) must be received
