RESERVATIONS
To reserve video equipment, fill out a request form at least 24 hours in advance. Request forms are located in the ICD office (Room G-63), the Mail Room and the Library (Room 137). All requests must be in writing and signed by Faculty, Staff or Administrators. Students may not check out A/V equipment and materials. For student viewing of materials, there are two TV/VCR setups, with headphones, available in the Library. Students may make a reservation in advance in the Library and we will provide the requested title to view. Evening equipment requests will be left in the Library for pickup and must be returned before the Library closes.
The request form must be filled out completely, including PICKUP and RETURN TIMES. The same piece of equipment is used several times a day by different users; please give an accurate return time, so the equipment is returned in time for the next user. All equipment is to be picked up by the requester. WE DO NOT DELIVER. Equipment and software can be picked up in Room G-63. If we are out of the office on other business, check the Library (Room 137) for your request.
RETURNS
Equipment and software must be returned when due. Failure to do so inconveniences fellow faculty members and staff. Please be considerate. Equipment is to be returned to the ICD office (Room G-63). If we are out of the office on other business, return the equipment to the Library (Room 137). No equipment is to be left unattended. The requester is responsible for the equipment until it is returned.
ADDITIONAL VIDEO EQUIPMENT
TV/VCR units are by far our most widely requested items. Besides the equipment available in the ICD office, we have additional units placed in various department offices which have their own sign-out sheets with them. These units are available during the department's normal business hours and must also be requested in advance by using the sign-out sheet located with that equipment in the department. Please request use of one of these units through the Dept. office. Currently, we have TV/VCR equipment and overhead projectors located in the following areas:
| Library Room 137 851-1074 |
Child Care Room 204 851-1153 |
English Lab Room 360 851-1060 |
| Nursing Room G-70 851-1041 |
Science Lab Room 344 851-1097 |
The Library Resource Center and the English Lab also
have overhead projectors.
A/V SERVICE IN OTHER BUILDINGS
A/V equipment is available at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center. TV/VCR units and overhead projectors can be obtained from Room A115. The key must be obtained from the Security Office in Room 102 of the Main Building.
We do not have A/V staff in these areas. There will be sign-out sheets to reserve the equipment on a first come first serve basis. Please call the A/V office if there are any problems or if you have any questions.
SPECIAL EVENTS
The ICD supports special events. The individual responsible for coordinating the event must contact the ICD or Facilities office at least a week in advance.
SEMESTER LOANS
We have a limited number of overhead projectors and 35mm slide projectors issued for semester loans. This will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis, taking into consideration how often the equipment will be used.
EQUIPMENT REPAIR
The City ICD is responsible for the maintenance and repair of its own equipment. This includes replacement of projection lamps, etc. We will do what we can to assist with whatever problems may arise.
PURCHASE OF A/V TITLES
The A/V Department will purchase, as our budget allows, A/V titles for instructional use. We will need the following information:
These titles will be housed in the A/V office and will be available to everyone for check-out
A/V EQUIPMENT TRAINING
If you or anyone else in your department requires training in the use of a piece of Audio/Visual equipment, contact the City ICD office for individual or group training.
FACULTY / STAFF RESPONSIBILITY
Please plan ahead. We cannot run our office with last-minute requests. Please pick up and return equipment on time for the next user. We will not reserve equipment for every class session of the semester in advance for an individual as it is not fair to the other users. Please be reasonable with your A/V requests.
