OFF-CAMPUS ACCESS TO DATABASES

All of the library's electronic resources are available from off campus.  You must be a currently registered student,  faculty, or staff in order to use these databases.  When you attempt to access e-resources from home or another location you will be asked for your Windows NT User Name and Password in order to log on.

Student Log On Procedure:

User Name: Use the first 6 letters of your last name* and your first initial and your two-digit day of birth.
Example: Mary Ann Jackson, born 02/22/81, would be jacksom22
(Your e-mail address would be jacksom22@ecc.edu.)

Password: Combine the last four digits of your social security number and the last two digits of your birth year.
Example: 000-00-9231, born on 01/22/81, would be 923181

*If your last name has fewer than 6 letters, use your complete last name. Example: John Doe, born 02/01/81, would be doej01

Faculty and Staff Log On Procedure:

Use the same username and password that you use to log on when you are on campus.

Internet Explorer users may encounter problems if the latest updates have not been loaded on their personal computers.  These users should click on Tools, then click on Windows Update.  Listed on the left hand toolbar will be Critical Updates and Service Packs.  Essential updates will be listed and patron has to load these on their own PC.  This not only helps with the library's authentication software, but also safeguards against viruses.
