Description
LinkedIn is a business-oriented site mainly used for professional networking and is especially practical for jobseekers. It has around 270 million users, spanning more than 170 industries. This class is targeted for those who either have a minimal profile that needs completion or those who have no profile at all. Participants will be guided through the basics of LinkedIn, including creating a tag phrase, developing a summary, delineating work experience and posting recommendations. While we will not create your profile during the class, once you take it, you’ll be able to sit and complete it in a relatively short period of time. Website demonstrations will explain how to join groups, research companies, and make first level connections to develop networking opportunities.
